Wrapping up this week and looking towards next week

This week we did a great job with everyone working very hard to get a lot of good work accomplished.
Today, Friday, the participants made pizzas with Bill in the afternoon while Rory and Kristine attended CPR training. Then in the afternoon we watched Percy Jackson, the Lightening Thief which is a book we have been reading in our afternoon reading time. This is a great book that has a lot of Greek mythology in it, so while being entertained we are also learning some new, cool things.
We are looking forward to next week, we have a few field trips planned to the Library and to Walmart to start comparing prices on things that would be needed to set up an apartment. Specifically next week we are concentrating on kitchens with a scavenger hunt type project planned. We will also be doing some more cooking, math and money, art on Wednesday morning, a trip to the Root Cellar to volunteer and anything else that we can come up with that can be a fun, learning experience.
