This week we had a holiday on Monday, with only a few participants attending with Kristine. So...on Monday John Paul, Tim and Jake went to Two Lights with Kristine, it was a beautiful day and they painted amazing landscapes - of which I took pictures with my new cell phone, of which I cannot for the life of me figure out how to share in this blog. But they were really amazing and if you want to see them either visit our classroom where they are being displayed or email me and I will send them along.

The rest of the week was spent on a variety of some new and some old projects.  We are trying to work with a math lesson and an "english" lesson everyday.  Mixed in with that are field trips to the library again this week and to the Root cellar to volunteer.

On Friday we made corn and pumpkin soup for lunch which was really good and watched a movie brought in by Bennett called "We bought a Zoo".

I will say this past week we started playing some basketball outside and Rory and I were surprised by the skills of our teammates.  Nate can make a free throw from way out when he is not busy blowing his whistle calling a foul on someone, Tim has a great shot from anywhere on the court and Bennett and Jake are crazy running around and guarding, really fast and on top of their game.  Dianna - hmmmm - she is a true girl - standing in the middle of the court fixing her hair, Erica decided to read her book instead (no surprise there) and Jennessa is usually busy packing up her stuff to get picked up. We all love Jennessa, but when it comes to packing up, we are learning to start her about an hour before it is time to leave.

So, as the weather gets warmer we are trying to spend more time outside, starting to count down towards summer and transitions of some of our friends and making the most of our great days together.

I promise going forward to use my camera so that I can share some of our experiences with pictures. Have a great week everyone!
