This past week without the beauty of pictures

Just a quick note, my computer is at home today, so as I update this weeks work I cannot upload the pictures to accompany the work, but I will do that on Monday.
We had a great week but a funny one. No Strive Next Step on Monday made for a short week and Tim was in NH visiting family so we really missed his smiling face as well. That being said this week we worked on money in the form of menus and ordering and how much eating out for one day would cost us. We visited the library and walked around downtown Portland a little bit. We made a yummy lunch on Friday, Baja chicken wraps, needless to say, there were no leftovers, they were delicious.
On Wednesday we wrapped up a few outstanding art projects and all work should be home by now, except our altered books which are a continuing project. Speaking of those, on Wednesday we also wrote a little poetry to include in our books. We have some great writers in this class.
Jennessa also had a special guest on Friday. Barbara came in to teach Jennessa how to use a sewing machine and they started on a quilt that is already gorgeous. We will post pictures really soon on that. Thanks Barbara, we are looking forward to seeing more of Jennessa's work.
Lastly, Congratulations to Erica for getting a call to visit Strive U on an overnight visit. This is great news and we know you will do a great job.
Also, our newsletter that Rory has been working so hard on with everyone is nearing completion of it's first installment. We are very proud of everyone's voices and what they are sharing about themselves and can't wait to send those home.
So, visit again on Monday and you can see the pictures to accompany all of this weeks work but until then have a wonderful weekend.
