Things have been busy here at Nextstep.  We've been missing Erica as she is on vacation in Florida!  Back here in Maine we've been having our own fun though.  Last week we went on some great outings including the Pick and Paint Pottery shop in Westbrook and the Arctic Museum and Art Museum at Bowdoin College in Brunswick.  We've been finishing up old art projects and working on shellacking decorative 't-shirt bowls.'  We've also been doing a lot of work with sounding out words and reviewing our short and long vowel sounds.  Some of us hope to create a small yearbook to send with our friends who are leaving us this summer.  On Monday we took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and took a hike around Macworth Island.  Below are some pictures.
