End of the week work

Greetings everyone! Well a great end to our week, although we are missing Rory who is in Florida for a week of vacation, but thanks to Jennifer who is filling in for her. On Wednesday we had a great discussion in the am about problem solving and what are pros and cons and if one decision doesn't work then what can you do the next time. Each Next Stepper worked on an individual problem and then shared with the class the process of working through that problem or as we also realized not always a problem but sometimes just options that need to be sorted out.
In the afternoon we went to Gorham's My space to have a game of Kickball and soccer and on the way home we stopped at Starbucks so that everyone worked on their money and ordering skills and then we had a great discussion around an upcoming project we are working on: Can't tell you yet what it is: but it will be great!!
On Thursday Bill was in the room and I think they worked on voting and rights as citizens but not sure.
Today, Friday, Emily is taking the lead on getting the group organized for shopping, cooking and our movie afternoon. As Rory mentioned, our discussion on Monday was around how to encourage the Next Steppers to take the lead more on what we are doing in the classroom and so today Jennifer and Kristine will take a back seat while others lead us through the days events. Should be a great day - on the menu: Grilled cheese and spagettios / the movie: Kung Fu Panda. Thanks Emily for sharing your great movie collection every week.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
