The Tate House Museum was really interesting! Jimmy and Evan asked a lot of questions and learned a lot. The Tate House is the preserved house of lumber manager and prominent societal figure George Tate who lived there in the 18th century. The tour guide led us around the house, explaining the significance of each room and what was in it. We noticed all the things we have in our bedrooms/kitchens etc that they didn't have back then. Jimmy noticed that there was no bathroom and we learned they used an outhouse. Evan counted the fireplaces in the house-eight! We walked around the back yard where the gardens are full of plants the Tate's would have likely grown. The tour guide then brought out the Tate trunk full of replicas of items people used frequently in the 18th century. Here, Jimmy tries on the small lensed glasses and Evan holds up the currency of the time (the half dollar is literally the dollar broken in half, and they did the same with the 1/4 dollar and 1/8 dollar as well.)

On another note, today is Bennett's last day at Nextstep. We will miss him very much but know he will do great at STRIVE Bayside!
